    FIVE out of TEN!
    February 5, 2013 - by Su Kim
Pros: The book has a good pace to begin.
Cons: Becomes boring during the middle parts! :(
Summary: As the name suggests, the book is about the black cancer patient Henrietta Lacks, whose cells have been taken without her knowledge and permission for lab testing purposes. The book follows the story of the immortal cells and the life of Henrietta Lacks and her family as they live through poverty while the world around them benefits from her cells and the subsequent research. The book has a good pace to begin with but becomes boring during the middle parts and doesn't translate into what it promises to be. All-in-all, an informative but boring book. Overall, a 5 out of 10!!!
