Got burned once before, where do you guys actually go for peace of mind these days?

I'm not making the same mistake twice so I'm hoping some of you can point me in the right direction here, a couple years ago I bought a used Lexus IS from a private seller and I just took his word that it was clean because the paint looked great and the engine sounded smooth but three weeks later I found out the rear quarter had been resprayed poorly and the AC evaporator was shot which cost me a fortune to fix right as summer was starting. Now I'm back in the market for something like a clean Audi Q5 and I'm determined to do this the right way but honestly I don't know who to trust because every garage I call says they do inspections but I can't tell the difference between a guy who'll just scan for fault codes and someone who actually knows what to look for on a car that's been driven in this heat and sand for five years. I was reading through some old threads here and someone mentioned using a Trusted Pre Purchase Inspection Dubai service that actually sends you a detailed report with photos of the undercarriage and the paint thickness readings and all that stuff which sounds way more thorough than the twenty minute lookover I got last time. I'm just trying to avoid that sinking feeling when you realize you've bought someone else's hidden headache so any real world feedback on who's actually legit and won't just take my money and tell me the tires have good tread would be massively appreciated.
