Where do Date Palms grow best?

    Date palms are able to grow in hot and arid conditions characterized by long sunny summers and low humidity. They are very tolerant to drought yet can only be used commercially to produce fruit when it is irrigated. The best situations are where the soils are deep and sandy to sustain their long root systems.
