So, you have hit the “In My Image” mission in Arc Raiders and, if you are anything like me, you are probably wondering what on earth you are supposed to do next. It is not just a case of shooting every bot you see – this one is more of a scavenger hunt. The game drops you into the Skytop Observatory and leaves you to figure out where three Memory Fragments are hiding. Sounds simple, but it can be a bit of a headache if you do not know the spots. When I did it, I wasted way too much time wandering about, so here is the way I wish I had done it. Oh, and if you are looking to gear up before tackling it, you might want to check out ARC Raiders Items to make life easier.
First one’s fairly straightforward once you know what you are looking for. Head to a half-collapsed building where the ground floor’s underwater. You cannot miss the place – big pool of water right inside. Wade in, do not worry about getting soaked, and keep an eye out for a bunch of old server racks. The fragment is sitting right on top of one of them, just above the waterline. It has a faint glow, so if you slow down and scan the area, you will spot it. Grab it and you are good to move on.
The second one is a bit more of a climb. In the main yard of the observatory, look up and you will see a tangle of rusted gantries and catwalks. You need to get up there. There is usually some broken scaffolding or rubble nearby you can use to start your climb. It is a bit of a parkour challenge – nothing too crazy – but take your time and watch your footing. Once you are on the main catwalk, follow it right to the end. You will find the fragment sitting on a small crate, and you will get a cracking view of the yard below while you are there.
Last one’s the tricky one. You are looking for a little security office standing on its own. The door’s locked, and shooting it will not help – I tried. The key’s close by, though. Look for a fallen Raider slumped against some debris or a wall not far from the office. Search them and you will get the Security Office Keycard. Head back, swipe in, and the fragment will be waiting on a console desk inside. Once you have all three, the game will point you to the big terminal in the central dome. Upload the data, and you are done. If you want to make sure you are ready for whatever comes next, having a look at ARC Raiders weapons might be a smart move.
