DESCRIPTION : An intrepid pair of explorers have, for the first time ever, captured on camera and film all 39 species of the Birds-of-Paradise, following 18 expeditions to the remote rainforests of Papua New Guinea. Cornell University ornithologist Ed Scholes and photographer Tim Laman spent eight years overcoming the challenges of taking pictures and video of the rainforest birds that inhabit some of the world's most hard-to-access areas.
