With the Horizon Festival setting up camp in Japan for Forza Horizon 6, the map is absolutely packed with incredible scenery. But let’s be honest—nothing hits quite like cruising under a canopy of pink petals. When the game shifts to the Spring season in the weekly playlist rotation, the entire map transforms.
If you want to grab some incredible screenshots for your gallery, host a car meet, or just take a scenic drive, here are the absolute best cherry blossom spots you need to check out.
Hirosaki Castle This is the ultimate landmark if you want that classic, cinematic Japan vibe. The contrast between the traditional black-and-white architecture of the castle and the dense pink sakura trees surrounding it is unmatched. If you only visit one spot on this list for photo mode, make it this one.
Lake Kawaguchi (North Shore) For the ultimate postcard shot, head over to the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi. There are some great spots to park right by the water where you can line up your camera to shoot through the cherry blossom branches, across the lake, and straight toward Mount Fuji in the background. It is easily one of the most beautiful views in the entire game.
Oaky Buki Parking Lot If you are looking for action rather than just a quiet photo op, head out to the northeastern mountain region. The Oaky Buki drift parking lot features a massive layout that is completely lined with pink trees. Because of the space and the visuals, it has quickly become the community’s go-to hub for cherry blossom drift meets and tandem sessions.
The "Cherry Blossom Road" Route For those who prefer to see the blossoms at speed, look for the route running out of the southern edge of Tokyo City toward the Ohtani region. Right at the starting line, you drive through a literal tunnel of interlocking pink trees. It feels incredible to launch a car down this road with petals flying everywhere.
Mei’s House (Ohtani Region) If you want a clean, quiet, and traditional background for close-up car filters, head over to Mei’s House in the Ohtani region. This player house is tucked away in a beautiful grove of sakura trees. A nice bonus for photographers: these trees are unbreakable, so you don't have to worry about accidentally knocking over your background props while trying to park.
The biggest catch with the cherry blossoms is that they only appear in full bloom during the Spring season in freeroam. If the weekly server playlist is currently locked into Summer, Autumn, or Winter, the trees will look bare.
Luckily, there is an easy way to bypass this if you just want to take photos. Head over to the Creative Hub and look up custom EventLab blueprints. Search for tags like "Photo" or "Cherry Blossom." Players have created tons of custom maps that override the current server settings and force the Spring seasonal logic. This lets you teleport into a world of pink petals and shoot your favorite rides whenever you want, regardless of the main map's season.
