One of the best things about Forza Horizon 6 is how dramatically the world changes from week to week. One day you are blasting down dry, sun-baked asphalt, and the next you are sliding through thick mud or navigating a blinding snowstorm. However, that shared live free-roam world is tied to a strict server-side weekly rotation managed by Playground Games. If you have a specific build you want to test in the dry or just want to cruise around under a summer sun while the live servers are stuck in winter, you cannot permanently shift the global map environment for everyone.
The good news is that you do not have to just sit around and wait for the real-world calendar to flip. If you want to change the season instantly for some isolated driving or to bypass time gates for offline challenges, you can use two quick workarounds to take control of your environment.
If your main goal is simply to drive around the map in your favorite weather conditions without messing with system settings or dropping your internet connection, the EventLab blueprint tool is your best bet. This creates an isolated sandbox just for you, leaving other players unaffected while giving you full control over the climate.
Pop open ANNA's menu or head to any race starting point on the map to access the World Builder / Route Creator.
Create a basic custom route by simply driving a short distance away from the starting line.
Place a finish line down to quickly wrap up the layout, then select "Create Event With This Route".
Once you are inside the EventLab menu, open up the Event Settings.
Turn Drivatars completely Off. This clears the roads so you can have the entire open world to yourself.
Change the Season and Weather to whatever you are in the mood for.
Set the Time Progression to Fixed. This is an important step to ensure your preferred climate stays locked in and doesn't cycle while you drive.
Select Validate to load into your brand-new custom sandbox.
Crucial step: Once you load in, simply ignore the race rules and drive around to enjoy the scenery. As long as you avoid crossing your custom finish line, the session will never end, and you can test your cars or cruise for as long as you want.
If you are trying to bypass seasonal time gates to clear specific regional challenges or unlock rewards early, the blueprint method won't cut it. For this, you need to trick your system's hardware clock into thinking a week or two has passed. Keep in mind that doing this will temporarily take you offline and disable online multiplayer features until you revert the changes.
Completely close the Forza Horizon 6 game application along with your platform launcher, whether you are on Steam or the Xbox app.
Fully disconnect your PC or console from the internet. You can do this easily by turning off your Wi-Fi in the system settings or physically unplugging your ethernet cable.
Go into your system's operating settings and turn off automatic time synchronization (the "set time automatically" option).
Manually change your system calendar date forward or backward. Because each season lasts exactly 1 week, you will want to move the time in multiples of 7 days to land on the specific season you want.
Relaunch the game in offline mode. The game will read your hardware clock and load you directly into your forced seasonal map environment.
Once you have finished your challenges, close the game entirely, re-enable your system's automatic time sync, and reconnect your internet to bring everything back to normal.
Note: While this exploit is incredibly useful for getting around time-locked content, always ensure your game is completely shut down before altering your clock. Playing around with system dates while connected to live servers can occasionally cause sync issues with your cloud saves.
If you do not want to mess with workarounds and prefer waiting for the live world to update naturally, the global dynamic season shifts automatically every week. The rotation updates every single Thursday at 3:30 PM UTC following this specific order:
Summer (Wet Season)
Autumn (Storm Season)
Winter (Dry/Snowy Season)
Spring (Hot Season)
Whether you opt for a quick EventLab sandbox to test a fine-tuned drift build or use the offline clock trick to chase down missed challenges, these workarounds ensure you are never truly locked out of your favorite driving conditions. Turn on your engine and enjoy the road!
