Let’s be honest, levelling up a new gun in Black Ops 7 can feel like dragging a fridge up a flight of stairs. You finally unlock that shiny assault rifle, but it kicks like a mule and the iron sights make you squint. You need attachments, and you need them quick. The trick? Stack every advantage you can. That means timing your grind with a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby session or a double weapon XP token, and making sure you’re not wasting those precious minutes fiddling with menus instead of racking up kills.
Most players know about 2WXP tokens, but a lot burn them without a plan. Don’t do that. Wait until you’ve got a clear hour or two where you can focus. Pop the token right before you jump into the right modes, and keep that momentum. If you stop mid-match to tweak your loadout, you’re throwing away free XP. Think of it like fuel – burn it when you’re actually moving, not idling.
Hardpoint and Domination are absolute gold for levelling. They funnel everyone into the same hotspots, so you’re never wandering around looking for a fight. Every kill near the objective throws extra XP at your weapon. Kill Confirmed is another sleeper hit – you’re not just getting XP for the kill, but for snagging the dog tag after. Those little bonuses add up fast, and you’ll notice your weapon levels ticking up way quicker than in plain Team Deathmatch.
When multiplayer starts feeling sweaty, switch to Zombies. The first dozen or so rounds are a breeze, and you can mow down hundreds of them with the gun you’re levelling. It’s perfect for awkward weapons like snipers or slow LMGs. Just get them grouped up, line them in your sights, and keep firing. You’ll knock out camo challenges at the same time, and there’s zero pressure compared to PvP – just you, your gun, and a horde that doesn’t shoot back.
One cheeky tactic? Run Decoy Grenades. Toss them into choke points, and every “Distraction” or assist XP goes straight to your weapon. It’s not game-breaking, but it’s passive income while you’re still racking up kills. Combine that with the right mode and a double XP token, and you’ll be unlocking attachments in no time. If you really want to speed things up without the grind feeling like a job, mix these methods with a couple of CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies sessions – you’ll be maxing out weapons before you know it.
