The anticipation for Path of Exile 2 is palpable, as fans eagerly await news regarding character classes and the intricate itemization system. Among the many questions circulating, players often wonder whether beloved unique items from Path of Exile 1, such as the early-game bow Hoghunt, will return.

Importantly, PoE 2 Currency will undoubtedly play a crucial role in acquiring any item, unique or otherwise. Just as Chaos Orbs and Exalted Orbs dominate the trade in PoE 1, Path of Exile 2 will feature its own set of orbs and consumables that facilitate crafting, trading, and general gameplay progression.

In Path of Exile 1, Hoghunt was a common unique bow often obtained early in a character's progression. Valued for its early attack speed and damage, it served as a reliable leveling item for many bow-wielding builds. However, Path of Exile 2 is being developed as a standalone sequel, rather than just an expansion.

Therefore, it is currently impossible to answer how to acquire Hoghunt in Path of Exile 2. We simply do not know if Hoghunt will exist in the sequel or if it will be replaced by new, similarly themed early-game uniques. However, we can speculate on the general ways uniques are likely to be acquired in Path of Exile 2, drawing parallels from PoE 1 while acknowledging potential changes:

The most fundamental way to acquire items in any ARPG is through defeating monsters and opening chests. If Hoghunt (or a spiritual successor) does exist, it would likely drop randomly from common enemies, particularly in early acts, maintaining its identity as an accessible leveling item. Certain powerful unique items are often tied to specific bosses. 

If divination cards return in PoE 2, a new card or set could be introduced that specifically grants Hoghunt, providing a deterministic method to acquire it by farming specific zones. While less common for standalone uniques, certain item combinations might yield unique outcomes, although this is a less likely avenue for a simple leveling unique.

If Hoghunt exists and is tradable, players will use the new PoE 2 currency to purchase it from others who have found it. Furthermore, cheap poe 2 currency  is essential for optimizing other gear pieces, enabling players to clear content more efficiently and thus increase their chances of finding desired unique drops.
